In the ACT, certain industries are regulated by the Office of Regulatory Services and traders are expected to follow national laws relating to fair trading behaviour.

The Office has produced a public register which enables consumers to conduct searches of licensed and regulated businesses and persons under a number of Acts administered by Business and Industry Licensing. These are:
