How do I make changes to the Registered particulars of a Business Name
A proprietor must notify the Registrar-General within one month of changes occurring to the particulars of a business name eg. business or proprietor's address. Failure to do this may result in penalties being applied or the cancellation of the registration.
Under section 12 of the Act the following changes must be advised where:
- Nature of business.
- Principal or other place/s of business.
- Particulars/appointment of resident agent.
- Name or place of residence of registered proprietor.
- Change of proprietor/s.
Complete an Application to Register a Business Name which must be signed by all proprietors and lodge it with the Registrar-General's Office, together with the appropriate fee.
