How to Register a Business Name
Complete an Application to Register a Business Name and lodge it with the Registrar-General's Office, together with the appropriate fee.
You can mail your application to the Registrar-General's Office, PO Box 225, Canberra City, ACT 2608.
Alternatively, you can enquire about
business names and make an application for registration in person by attending
the Registrar-General's Office at:

Circumstances do occur where the business name you apply for is not available or approved for registration. It is important to wait until you have received the Certificate of Registration before conducting business under the name or arranging for printing, advertising, signage or other business materials under the name.
