The Australian Consumer Law aims to protect and empower consumers and ensure fair trading across Australia.
The Office of Regulatory Services (ORS) is one of several consumer protection agencies responsible for ensuring that businesses do the right thing under the law. The other agencies involved include each State and Territory consumer protection agency, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and the Australian Investments and Securities Commission (ASIC).
